My Imaginary Real Estate Agency - again

It's not the first time I've thought this blog should be called "My Imaginary Real Estate Agency"...

50/60s homes are incredible - and these are in Hong Kong too! I didn't know about the super niche real estate agents Manks Quarters until recently, now they've really hit a nerve...

building in Tai Hang - no date given but looks a bit faux-art deco. love the curvature

1950s building - check out those awesome iron windows. drool...

There are obviously enough people like me who prefer old things to the gleaming glass and steel that is the rest of Hong Kong - because these babies aren't going for cheap.

Maybe it's time to try my luck at the blackjack tables in Macau...

Ballet flats forever

Masai ballet pumps from Parisian Ballets

I don't care what the trend reports or Vogues of the world are saying, ballet flats rock, and this is one of my favourite makers. I do like Oxfords, but ballets are timelessly chic. Plus they travel flat - perfect for frequent fliers :)

Lettuce and Lines: Salt and Pepper shakers

by David Shrigley, £79, available at Culturelabel.

p.s. Culturelabel, in beta, is a platform for limited-edition, artist-designed goods. Wait a minute - "artist-designed"? Don't artists create? Finding the ubiquitous, unexplained use of this term a little disturbing...

Sunglasses for Asian faces

If you're not Asian, or are but be blessed with a high-bridged nose, you may not be aware of this, but most Asians have really flat noses and super curvy, headband-like sunglasses just refuse to sit on our faces. We (or I, anyway) are usually made to settle for boring wire-framed glasses with wobbly plastic nobs at the nose (dunno what they're called sorry). So I'm quite pleased to find someone trying to fill the gap in the market - quite liking the Amelia aviators I must say.

Purple suede deck shoes

from Tailorable, a Korean men's brand with super-slim, colourful casual suits, polos, leather and shoes. They have this in size 38-42, so big(ger) footed girls like me can get their share too, BUT I can't get through their online shopping process and I can't find an email address to contact them at! Boohoo :(
